Overview

The Long Stay QMs Report plots long stay QMs through time. It can be useful to find marketing ideas you can use to advocate for a provider to residents, resident families, local doctors, hospitals, and other partners.

When analyizing a chain of providers you can also use it to find good performers that could be copied across the chain.

It compares the provider or group selected in the Analyze drop down against the groups in the Compared to section.

Comparing a provider against a single group

When you compare a provider against a single group we show you 5 charts. 4 line charts and 1 bar chart.

The top left line chart shows the raw data for the provider.

In the top right line chart we add the data for every provider in the group.

For the bottom left chart we take the average of all the providers in the group and show it against the data for the provider.

The bottom right chart is the plot of the rank of the provider in the group through time. Higher is better.

The bar chart shows the percentile the provider is in versus the group.

Beneath each plot we highlight some interesting things about the providers performance.

Comparing a provider against multiple groups

Right now we just plot the provider against the first group. We are working on an update that will compare the provider against every selected group.

Selecting & changing the provider

Choose a provider from the Analyze menu at the top left of the screen. Or search for a provider and click their name.

If you’ve chosen groups of providers to compare against for other analyses we will reuse them.

You can change with whom you’re comparing by clicking the “More groups settings” button in the top left of the screen.

Use with groups

When you compare a group against one or more groups we show a plot of the groups average performance in the data point through time.

We also include a table that, for each group being analyzed, shows:

  • Their most recent value for the data point.
  • The best value they’ve achieved in our dataset.
  • The worst value they’ve achieved in our dataset.
  • Whether they are currently trending and if the trend is good or could use some help.
